Onam Greetings to allThe Icon.
This is Onam season. I thought of conveying my greetings to my friends and beloveds by posting this painting. Kathakali is not only ‘the art of dance’ but also ‘the art of color’s. One Tuesday when I was chating with Dhanesh (my friend) in facebook, he told me that they all are expecting an Onam special painting updates in facebook. That was the inspiration to paint this. I did this painting on 18th Aug 2010, Wednesday evening. I took 3 hours for completing this painting.
Kathakali is a traditional art form of Kerala. The word Kathakali literally means "Story-Play". It is known for its large, elaborate makeup and costumes. The elaborate costumes of Kathakali have become the most recognized icon for Kerala. very nice pic naveen cheta . came out very well but want to tell u one thing that lips part i feel some small problem n am not at a painter n dnt knw painting but just telling it as an ordinary man. if am telling pottatharam just ignore it
